October 2010 : We headed back to DC for our frozen embryos. We decided it was now or never and we were excited to see if our little frosties would grow our family to 5 or 6 but unfortunately it wasn't meant to be for us and although our embryos bounced back well and had above average cell survival, the treatment failed. We were devastated as we truly did want more kids and really were not sure about what the future would hold for us in regards to more children or not, but more on this later.
November 2010: We had a quiet Thanksgiving at home and enjoyed way too much food as always :-)
December 2010: We headed to Sunny Arizona for Christmas and had a great time seeing family that we had not seen in quite some time. We also learned that Chad would be potentially transferring to DC come the following year.
January 2010: Chad headed to DC while the kids and I stayed behind in GA to wrap things up as we planned to join him the following month.
February 2010: We put our GA house on the market and hoped and prayed (as we still are today) that we would get an offer on it. The kids and I headed to DC w/Chad. We have been spending a month in DC and a week in GA, going back and forth has been a lot of work but the kids have handled the transitions well.
March 2010 - Spent most of the month scouring NOVA and MD for a new home. It was a long and frustrating search but we finally settled on something. It required a major sacrifice, which means we are no where near where we "wanted" to live and Chad will have a 35 mile commute to work but the schools are good and the housing prices are much more reasonable. Chad had his interview for the position he was working in DC, so the waiting begins on learning if he was selected or not.
April 2010 - Was probably the most exciting month to date for us. Our precious twins turned 2...I can't believe my little babies are already 2 years old. They are awesome and amazing and bring so much joy to our lives. They do however act every bit of 2...holding out that 3 will bring more reasonable responses from them when things don't go their way LOL...I know wishful thinking. They had a great 2 year check up and I am pleased w/the progress they have both made w/their growth. They are pretty much the same size right now weighing in right above 25 lbs and 34.5 inches tall. A few days after the twins birthday Chad found out that hew was selected for the position in DC so that meant we were going to be relocating permanently. April also held some other very unexpected but exciting news for us. We learned that Evan and Taryn would have a little brother or sister in December, more to come on this.
May 2010 - a much more quite month, we did finalize our decision on where to live but we still wait to sell our GA home so unfortunately, although we know where we want to live we cannot make any moves on anything until we unload our GA home :-( stupid housing market :-(
June 2010 - I guess this brings us up to date. Still trying to sell our GA house or rent it at this point anything that we can do that will allow us to move on w/our lives in the DC metro area works for us. We are ready to wrap things up here in GA but this house is holding us back.
Life is busy but it is good. I am going to make an effort to stay on top of this blog, I definitely have a lot to share and the twins have grown and changed so much. I really need to get some updated photos on here.
